Professional Summary
I am committed to the healing role as a therapist. My goal is to create a secure and safe place in my office that allows patients to find their truths. I received my Bachelors in Psychology from Gonzaga University and my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University. I am licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists (C5362).
I believe in the power of stories. I know the healing power of having a place to share personal stories with a person who genuinely cares. When patients come into my office, I want to help them chose how they write the next chapter in their stories. I do this through person-centered and trauma-informed care, informed by cultural sensitivity. My therapy connects the stories presented in the session with the people, places, and ideas that are important to my patients and lights the way for them to connect deeply to their true selves.
My primary model of therapy utilizes principles of attachment theory to reconnect people with their values and the things that give them meaning. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Family Systems Therapy, and Strength Based Therapy. I am Level 1 certified TEAM CBT therapist.
